Think back to when you hosted your last open house.
How was the turn out? Did you manage to muster a crowd of potential buyers or did you wind up out front, flailing your arms trying to draw some sort of attention to the house (and have people questioning your sanity in the process)?
While you may have done well strategically placing signs to direct traffic, informed neighbors of the upcoming event, posted a notice on your website (or in the paper), or even sent out postcards/mailers, there may be something you haven’t done – send out an open house e-card!
Infact, you may find the idea of sending an open house e-card quite awesome:
- It’s cheap and trees like the idea.
If you go out and have some snail mail flyers made, you’ll have to fork over a few bills and use paper. By going for the alternative route of sending out an open house e-card, you’re not only saving some cash but also being environmentally friendly (GO GREEN!). - You already have a list of contacts to send to.
The odds are high that you have an existing database full of contacts that are in the market to buy (or may know someone else who is) and it would be wise to notify them via an open house e-card. It’s a great way to generate a buzz and what good is having the information if you don’t use it? - It can be done within minutes.
Does it take you a long time to send an email? You can have your open house e-card created and ready to send in a short amount of time. Most email marketing solutions have an e-card feature built it and if it features a robust collection of templates then chances are there’s an open house one in there. Plug in the listing information and send it off! - Your marketing efforts can easily be tracked.
If you send your open house e-card through your email marketing software then you can track how many times your open house e-card was opened or read. If you want to get really in-depth with it, then cross-check who opened/read the emails with who actually attended. That may shed light on who’s serious about buying.
As you can tell, there are plenty of reasons why you should consider sending an open house e-card whenever the time calls for it. They are an easy, effective, and fun way to reach a broad audience and get word out.
The more exposure, the better!
